Only female groups
The vast majority of the cycling industry keeps designing and advertising products aimed at male riders. It might be sound business practice, some say, but we beg to disagree. More and more women are taking up mountain bike as a fun way to keep fit, healthy and to develop balance and tone. They are every bit as enthusiastic as men, as we have seen over the years. Yet the industry as a whole is not reacting to this. Certainly women can appreciate and enjoy our sport as much as we do, so we gave the matter some thought, talked about it to lots of female riders, and this is what we came up with (or rather, what they came up with):

The majority of the existing offer is designed for men by men. However, if we remove the constant competitiveness, the silly fights and the useless risks, and shift our interests to skill, diversity of terrain, aerobic exercise, orientation, navigation and general outdoor confidence, the routes can greatly enhance their appeal. In fact, they become much more attractive to male mountain bikers too! (Although few of us would ever admit to it, of course).

This is why in all our products we offer a female-only option (express, weekends, and expeditions), tried and tested by female mountain bikers of all levels. And if this contributes to more and more women sharing our mountain bike passion, all the best for everyone!
